Everyone is equal under one roof.

We’re a not‑for‑profit charity that supports current and former ADF members, emergency services personnel, and their families. We’re part of the growing Defence and Emergency Services Sheds movement, inspired by the Men’s Shed model.

Weekly Socials & Workshops

  • Coffee Catch Up: The best way to start the day. If you’re thinking about joining, this is the perfect time to drop in, have a yarn, and see what we’re about before signing up.

  • Monday Night Metal: Our dedicated fabrication sessions. Once inducted, members can use this time for welding or metal cutting.

  • Shed Groups: Members meet throughout the week for Bee Keeping, 3D Printing, and Woodworking. Check the specific time slots to see when the workshop is active for your interest area.

What we’re up to

Make a Donation

We’re a local shed built by locals, for locals. If you choose to donate, you’re helping us provide a safe, welcoming place for veterans to share skills, stories, and support. Every dollar stays right here in Wagga Wagga.

Help us keep the doors open, the tools running, and the kettle boiling.

3% Cover the Fee

While Defence Shed is a proud Not-For-Profit organization supporting our veteran and first responder community, please note that donations are not currently tax-deductible.
